Need help with STRIKE? This page covers the core workflows for accounts, room check-ins, study sessions, messaging, and privacy.

How do room check-ins work?

STRIKE uses campus location checks to confirm that you are near a supported study room. Once you are near a room, you can check in, start a study timer, and choose whether you are open to collaboration.

Why can I not check into a room?

You may be outside the room's supported campus area, your browser may not allow location access, or you may already have an active session. In local testing, use the Campus Location Simulator in the dashboard to move near a room.

How do group study sessions work?

Users can request to join a visible group study session. The group host must accept before the requester joins. You can leave a group session from the room card when you are checked in.

How do friend requests and messages work?

You can send friend requests, accept pending requests, and message connected users. Message notifications help show which conversations have new activity.

How is study time calculated?

Study time is calculated from active check-in and checkout timestamps. If you leave a room boundary, STRIKE may pause the active session so you can resume or close it out.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Contact support to request account or data deletion. Include the username associated with the account so the request can be reviewed.

Where can I read the legal policies?

Review the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for more information about data, acceptable use, and account responsibilities.
