Terms of Service
Last updated: August 18, 2026
Welcome to STRIKE. By accessing or using STRIKE, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Use of Service
STRIKE is an academic workspace hub for finding study rooms, checking into campus spaces, coordinating with classmates, messaging friends, and tracking study activity. You agree to use STRIKE only for lawful, respectful, academic, and campus-appropriate purposes. STRIKE is a campus study and productivity platform, not a dating, hookup, or general-purpose social-meetup service, and may not be used to solicit or arrange romantic or sexual encounters.
2. Eligibility
STRIKE is intended for currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff who have access to a supported school email address, and you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and current.
3. Verification Limits and Your Safety
Creating a STRIKE account requires access to a supported school email address. This confirms that you control that email address at the time of signup — it does not verify your identity, current enrollment status, age, academic standing, or intentions, and it does not verify those things about any other user. STRIKE does not conduct background checks and cannot guarantee the safety, conduct, or trustworthiness of any user.
STRIKE facilitates coordination around real, physical campus locations, which may result in meeting other users in person. When you choose to do so:
- Meet in public, well-lit, populated campus spaces such as libraries, study lounges, or academic buildings.
- Tell a friend where you are going and who you are meeting, especially for a first meeting.
- Trust your judgment, and end or avoid an interaction at any time if something feels wrong.
- Use the in-app reporting and blocking tools to flag concerning behavior, and contact campus safety or emergency services directly for any immediate threat to your safety.
STRIKE, its owner, and its operators are not responsible for the conduct of any user, on or off the platform, and are not liable for any interaction, meeting, or relationship that develops between users.
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate account information and to notify STRIKE if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
5. Location-Based Check-Ins
STRIKE may use campus location checks to verify that you are near a supported room before allowing check-in. You agree not to falsify, manipulate, or abuse location features, room occupancy counts, or study-session tracking.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, or mislead other users.
- Send spam, abusive content, or inappropriate messages.
- Interfere with the operation, security, or availability of STRIKE.
- Attempt to access accounts, messages, or data that do not belong to you.
- Use STRIKE for unlawful activity or activity that violates school policies.
7. Messages, Groups, and Collaboration
STRIKE includes social features such as friend requests, group study requests, room visibility, and messaging. You are responsible for the content you send and the groups you join or create. STRIKE may restrict access to users who misuse collaboration features.
8. Study Analytics and Availability
Study timers, rankings, milestones, occupancy counts, and analytics are provided for convenience and motivation. They may contain errors or delays and should not be treated as official academic records.
9. Intellectual Property
STRIKE, including its interface, design, code, branding, and original content, is owned by Strike unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, redistribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit STRIKE without permission.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, create risk for other users, or interfere with STRIKE's operation.
11. Disclaimers
STRIKE is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, perfect location accuracy, or complete accuracy of study analytics.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, STRIKE and its owner are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for data loss, missed sessions, inaccurate analytics, or user misuse of the Service.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of STRIKE after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
